These businesses are generally owned by someone over age 45 who wants to maximize both the company's tax deductions and his or her personal retirement income. For these types of businesses, a defined benefit retirement plan is usually far superior to a 401(k) or other defined contribution retirement plan.
We service plans for all types of businesses. Any type of business, including a sole proprietorship, can sponsor a defined benefit plan, which may offer deductions many times greater than in any other kind of plan.
We do larger plans and other kinds of plans, too. We are proud to count among our clients several larger defined benefit plans having up to 2,000 participants.
